  • Can a TelaConsult physician help me with my prescription refill for a chronic medical condition like high blood pressure, or diabetes if I can’t get to my regular doctor soon?

    Yes. A TelaConsult physician will determine the need for a prescription through a telemedicine visit. If a temporary prescription refill is appropriate, we will call one in or send electronically to a pharmacy near you.


  • Can a TelaConsult doctor write me a prescription?

    Yes. A TelaConsult physician will determine the need for a prescription through a telemedicine visit. If a prescription is indicated, the TelaConsult doctor will call one in or send electronically to a pharmacy of your choice.

  • Can the TelaConsult doctors work with my regular doctor?

    Yes. When needed and with your consent, our doctors will coordinate any healthcare issues with your primary care physician. Getting accurate contact information for your regular doctor is necessary. 

  • Will TelaConsult doctors prescribe a controlled substance such as certain pain medications, sleep, or anti-anxiety medications?

    No.  However, we will help guide you to the appropriate medical professional who can or recommend a non-narcotic alternative.

  • Which of my family members can use TelaConsult under the Family Plan?

    The family plan includes you, your spouse, and any of your children under the age of 26.

  • What if I have a bad internet connection?

    Go ahead and initiate a TelaConsult visit online, or through the app and provide your call back number.  This way even if the connection quality is poor, the physician will be able to call you back. Attempting to initiate the visit online ensures our physicians have a record that allows them to call you back, and maintain a medical record. 

  • Technical problems connecting with the doctor, what do I do?

    Call us at (512) 861-4134 and we will call you to ensure you get connected with a physician as quickly as possible.


  • Is there a limit to the number of times I can contact a doctor through TelaConsult?

    No.

  • Can I use TelaConsult outside of Texas?

    Yes. If you subscribe to TeleConsult as a legal Texas resident, then you may use our service from anywhere.  However, our physicians can only prescribe medications through pharmacies inside the United States.

  • Is the TelaConsult service a health insurance product?

    No.  TelaConsult provides prepaid access to licensed Texas physicians via telemedicine. TelaConsult is not an insurance company, and does not provide health insurance. 


  • Do you accept insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid for payment?

    No. In order to keep our costs low TelaConsult is a fee based service only. We do not bill insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. 

  • Billing or credit card problems?

  • How do I renew my TelaConsult subscription? Is it automatically renewed?

    TelaConsult will automatically renew your subscription upon the expiration of each subscription period (annually, every four months, or as otherwise outlined in the initial sign up). Renewal fees for the same time period of service will be charged to your credit card, debit card, or other payment method as you originally authorized when you signed up for TelaConsult services. For example, if you originally signed up for the annual plan, the automatic renewal will be for an annual plan.

  • What is the refund policy?

    Full refunds will be honored if requested within the first thirty (30) days after the beginning of the subscription.  Refunds requested after the first thirty (30) days shall be at the sole discretion of TelaConsult.  TelaConsult reserves the right to change prices, but will honor subscription prices until the term of the subscription expires. 

  • How do I cancel my TelaConsult subscription?

    If you signed up through your company or group, contact the person who assisted you with signing up for TelaConsult.  If you signed up directly with TelaConsult, call us at (903)546-8513 or email us at info@TelaConsult.com.  

    A reasonable amount of time is required in order to process your cancellation prior to the expiration of the subscription term.  Cancellation after the first thirty (30) days from sign up, and prior to the end of the subscription term will not result in the automatic renewal of the subscription.
